The Admin option is used to set a password for access to the Web-based management. By default there is no password configured. It is highly recommended that you create a password to keep your DGL-3420 secure.
This section allows you to reboot the device, and restore the DGL-3420 to the factory default settings. Restoring the unit to the factory default settings will erase all settings.
The Firmware Upgrade section can be used to update your DGL-3420 to the latest firmware code to improve functionality and performance. Visit http://support.dlink.com to check for the latest firmware. To upgrade the firmware, follow these steps:
Here are displayed the version numbers of the firmware currently installed in your DGL-3420 and the most recent upgrade that is available.
Note: Firmware upgrade cannot be performed from a wireless device. To perform an upgrade, ensure that you are using a PC that is connected to the DGL-3420 by wire.
Note: Some firmware upgrades reset the DGL-3420's configuration options to the factory defaults. Before performing an upgrade, be sure to save the current configuration from the Tools -> Admin screen.
