    2. How do I set up my DCH-S161 Water Sensor?

    2. To install your DCH-S161 water sensor, follow the steps below:

       

      Step 1: Download and install the mydlink app on your smartphone or tablet. The app is available at the App Store or Google Play. Once installed, launch the app. Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you plan on connecting the DCH-S161 to.

       

      Step 2: Tap Sign Up, enter the information required and then tap Sign Up again. If you already have a mydlink account, tap Sign In and then log in with your mydlink email address and password.

       

      Step 3: Tap the menu icon on the top left and then tap Add a Device. 

       

       

      Step 4: Tap Yes and then scan the QR Code on the label on the water sensor.

       

       

      Step 5: Connect the sensor cable to the water sensor and then tap Next.

       

       

      Step 6: Remove the battery cover and insert the 2 AA Batteries and then tap Next.

       

       

      Step 7: Wait for the LED to flash orange and then tap Next.

       

       

      Step 8: Tap Next.

       

       

      Step 9: Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect the DCH-S161 to and then enter your Wi-Fi password. Tap the check icon on the top right to continue. 

       

       

      Step 10: Tap and select the device location.

       

       

      Step 11: Tap Next.

       

       

      Step 12: Wait for the device to configure your settings and add the DCH-S161 to your mydlink account. Tap Next and then tap Done.  

       

       

      Step 13: Tap OK.
