    2. What is Privacy Mode on my camera?

    2. Privacy mode allows you to temperarily disable streaming live video and audio. For example, if you have a camera in your living room and you do not want to be viewed or recorded watching TV, you can turn privacy on. This will prevent the camera from streaming and recording video/audio. This will also turn off any motion and sound detection settings until privacy mode is turned off. 

       

      Select which app you are using:

       

       

       

       

      mydlink Lite App

       

      To turn privacy mode on or off using the mydlink Lite app, follow the steps below:

       

      Step 1: Launch the mydlink Lite app.

       

      Step 2: Select the camera you want to turn privacy mode on or off.

       

       

      Step 3: Tap the settings icon in the upper right corner.

       

       

      Step 4: Tap Settings.

       

       

      Step 5: Scroll to the bottom and check the Privacy Mode box to turn on, Uncheck to turn off.

       

       

       

       

       

       

      mydlink App

       

      Step 1: Launch the mydlink app.

       

      Step 2: Tap the menu icon on the top left.

       

       

       

      Step 3: Tap Settings.

       



      Step 4: Tap Device.

       



      Step 5: Tap the camera you want to enable/disable privacy mode.

       



      Step 6: Tap on Privacy Mode to turn it on or off 

       

      Privacy Mode OFF
