1. Q:
    2. How do I set up my DIR-867 with the D-Link Wi-Fi app?
    1. A:
    2. To set up your DIR-867 router using the D-Link Wi-Fi app, follow the steps below:

      Step 1: Launch the D-Link Wi-Fi app.

Step 2: Tap the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner and tap Install Your Device. You can also tap Install Your Device at the bottom.

Step 3: Scroll through the list and tap DIR-867. Tap Next.

Step 4: Follow the installation steps to connect the router to your modem and power on.

Step 5: When you get to the Device Connection screen, do not close the app. Connect your device to the router via Wi-Fi. The router''s Wi-Fi network name and password are listed on the label on the bottom of the router. Once connected, go back to the D-Link Wi-Fi app and tap Next.

Step 6: The app will now connect to the device and detect your Internet connection type. This may take up to 1 minute.

      - If you have a dynamic connection (cable/some DSL), the router will automatically configure the connection and take you to Step 7.

      - If you have PPPoE (DSL), you will be prompted to enter your PPPoE username and password. Tap Next.

Step 7: Enter a new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password. Tap Next.

Step 8: Create a password for the router. This will allow you to access the web UI on the router. Tap Next.

Step 9: A summary page will display your settings. Tap Save or tap back to make any changes.

Step 10: The saving process may take 2-3 minutes. Do not restart the app or the router during this process.

Step 11: You should now see the DIR-867 in your app. If you don''t, make sure your device is connected to it.  In some cases when the DIR-867 reboots, your device may automatically connect to a different Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is displayed at the top. If this is not the network you created, close the app and go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device. Connect to the once you just created for the DIR-867. Once connected, launch the D-Link Wi-Fi app.
