    2. How do I setup email notifications for my DCH-S161 using IFTTT?

    2. Note: IFTTT is a 3rd party service and is not affiliated with D-Link, therefore D-Link does not provide technical support for this feature. For more information, please visit https://ifttt.com. 

       


       

      In this example when water is detected by the DCH-S161, you will receive an email sent to your IFTTT account email. 

       

      Step 1: Launch the IFTTT app on your mobile device and sign in to your existing IFTTT account, or create a new account. Note this is a IFTTT account. This is not the same or related to your mydlink account. If you are new to the service, you will most likely need to create a new account. 

       

       

      Step 2: Tap my Applets.

       

       

      Step 3: Tap the + sign.

       

       

      Step 4: Tap on + This.

       

       

      Step 5: Search for mydlink, then tap on mydlink.

       

       

      Step 6: Tap on Water is detected.

       

       

      Step 7: Tap Connect.

       

       

      Step 8: Enter your mydlink account information and tap Sign In. Note that this will be the same information you use to log into your mydlink account (email/password).

       

       

      Step 9: Tap + That.

       

       

      Step 10: Tap Email. Note that the notification will be sent to your IFTTT email, not the mydlink email (unless they are the same). 

       

       

      Step 11: Scroll to the bottom and tap Create action.

       

       

      Step 12: Tap Finish.
